Many girls might get up early to do their make-up for school – but freshman Kyla Overturf got up extremely early.
“I got up at 4 a.m. to do this,” she said.
But it wasn’t just any look she was going for. She wanted to look ghastly.
With a zipper attached to her face and bloody gristle protruding from it – she has caught many people’s attention.
“Ten people asked me to do their make-up,” she said. “I did it, and I was able to make each one look different. That’s what’s great about latex. You can make it look any way you want it to.”
Although theater students have been practicing these special effects, Kyla actually isn’t in theater or art.
But she learned to do this as an art student at Mike Moses last year, she said.
Her friend knew how to do it, and taught her.
Like many other students, Kyla loves Halloween.
d“I love the make-up and costumes,” she said.
