Jake Smith

Varsity football player Jake Smith trains six hours at each practice. He tries to remain focused during the game, even when he is stressed. On his off time, he gets ready for the next day by finishing his homework and anything else he needs to prepare for. He enjoys watching college football. Jake started playing when he was six years old.

Nash Jones

Varsity Football Player Nash Jones trains 10 to 20 hours before each football game. He prays before each game. In his free time he enjoys hanging out with his friends. Nash’s father inspired him to play football. He started playing in 7th grade. His goal is to go to the playoffs and play after high school. One football game he will never forget is the Mount Pleasant game last season, which got the team to the playoffs. He loves all of his supporters.

Riley Birdwell

Varsity Football Player Riley Birdwell trains seven to eight hours a day for each upcoming football game. His goal is to make it to the playoffs this season. He hopes to play football after high school. He enjoys hearing the fans in the stands. If he could recruit one professional football player to play for the NHS Dragons, he would choose Aaron Donald, a defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams.

John Romero

Varsity Football Player John Romero is a defensive linemen who trains for at least seven to 10 hours. In his free time he works and sleeps. He started playing in the 7th grade. His goal for this season is to make the playoffs. John handles pressure through staying relaxed. One memory he won’t forget is going to the playoffs last year. He is happy to know he has supporters that will stand behind him and cheer him on.
